Day 12
I know we had a bad experience with the family with 2 kids at breakfast before, but for Joss to choose joining another 4 people on a table rather than getting our own table next to them was, to me, bewildering
Needless to say we moved again once another table became free
Now some might say we’ve been putting this off all week, while others (Kieren) will say that we’ve saved the best until last because FINALLY, we get to go to IKEA
He was a very happy boy
Someone else had to get in on the act
Worst boomerangs ever
After following the arrows in a much bigger store than I’d anticipated, we stopped off for ice-cream before touring the shops one last time
Then we went off to our favourite bar to chew the fat for a while (as well as drink it - the beer was called fat21 appropriately enough) and a very enjoyable couple of hours were had
After this we stopped off to get supplies before having a well deserved rest back at the hotel
Last night really did take it out of us and tomorrow was going to be even more tiring
Half an hour into the rest though I got bored so went for a walk
On my travels I saw that this monument changes colour for the night
I was also asked for directions so clearly am looking more and more Scandinavian
Finally as I walked past one bar a couple were sat outside and the woman knocked over the man’s drink and as it was a metal table, he was showered with both beer and glass - what a waste…..
Here’s a bus for Hattie (this blog’s got something for everyone)
We all met up at 7:15 and went to a grill house for dinner
Our waitress had such big lips you could have stuck her to the window
The food was lovely but we were all really tired and needed to pack so we called it a night - although Joss and I did one last walk around the block to let our food settle and say goodbye to Stockholm
