Day 11
The usual start at 9am for breakfast - was busy today but we were nowhere near any kids so a much better time all round
Then we went to the Avicii experience - an interactive museum
I have video proof of Joss singing Wake Me Up in a VR booth but won’t be showing it as she has a video of me doing the same
Let’s just say we both remember our voices being better
We did, however, all have a go on the turntables…
We then went and did a bit of shopping where there were some very unfortunate shop names
Then it was off to the National Museum - not quite as good as the Oslo one but still plenty to look at:
How to look manly and camp at the same time
Something for the hallway
The creator needs to work on how he does hands
No way that fat dog helped
The painter did him dirty
Big jug
We’d managed to convince Kieren to skip lunch and have a “Linner” instead so we had time for a few beers before heading to McDonald’s
Kieren took control of the directions as it was a trip close to his heart
Joss managed to barge her way in front of a man and his child (that’s how I saw it anyway) to secure us a seat and we chowed down in the knowledge we may well have something more at the football later
Back at the hotel for a rest, I decided that rest was for the weak and so Joss and I went out for a sneaky beer before meeting up with the others
We took the Metro to a very impressive looking Strawberry Arena and first queued for ages for Hattie to get a shirt before heading on in
The tickets worked !!!!
The food options were not so pleasing and I struggled to get anything that anyone liked
We did manage to have another beer though
And so, after many sporting events on many different continents, we finally lost our winning streak as Sweden were absolutely awful against Switzerland and deservedly lost 0-2
What made me laugh was that the spurs lad missed two absolute sitters and yet was named man of the match - he must have pictures of the manager in a compromising position….
Getting home started as a pain as the stewards blocked the way we wanted to go but we soon found the way around to get back to the metro station and there was a train on the station waiting for us - perfect
It’s the latest we’ve all been out on this holiday and Kieren kept “fake” yawning to show the lateness hadn’t gone unnoticed
Still, hopefully we’ll all sleep well tonight because of it and the 20k steps we’ve taken
