Day 10
Somehow last night we convinced Kieren to get up at 7:30 instead of 7 to give Hattie more time in bed
It didn’t entirely work although at least the tv didn’t come on until then
I’ve got a bit more used to the breakfast set up and in fairness it’s more than adequate
I could have done without the next table who had small children but we sat next to them so we only had ourselves to blame
Today I wanted to buy a local team’s footy shirt so we were off to the 3arena where surely they would have a club shop
It also gave us the opportunity to use the Harry Potteresque lift to get to the metro - very exciting
The stadium was hugely impressive but alas had no club shop
These pictures really don’t do it justice as I was far too close at the time
Luckily the shopping centre opposite had Djurgardens’ shirts so it wasn’t a failed mission
We had a drink in the cafe, looked around the rest of the shopping centre and then took the metro and then a tram to the ABBA museum
We had some time to kill so had some lunch - meatballs for everyone and 4 very clean plates afterwards
We then looked round the museum and it was everything you’d expect - bright, loud and camp
We were tired at this point so took the tram back to the hotel and had a couple of hours to get our energy levels back up for the evening
We met up at 7 and it had started raining so we basically chose the first half decent bar with food and marched in
I say we marched in when actually it was just me - the others waited by the sign that I hadn’t seen..
The food however was stupendously large
Joss had salmon, Hattie had fish tacos and I had the ribs
I didn’t take a picture of Kieren’s burger as it looked sad without salad
From there we went to a bar that said it showed football, in the hope that they were showing the England game - thankfully they were not…
Then we made Kieren’s day by saying let’s head back to the hotel
We all needed a good night’s kip with the aid of too much alcohol so it was the best choice
I did, however, have time for a quick Plopp …
